Bristol Schools Camp

Exmouth Camp is situated at the gateway of the Jurassic Coast, England’s first natural World Heritage Site.

Bristol Schools Camp

Irebuild has been responsible for the setup and general maintenance of Bristol Schools Camp, Exmouth, for the last seven years. During this time, members of Irebuild have also acted as mentors and activities instructors, helping to facilitate outdoor experiences for more than 8500 children.

Giving back and being a part of the local community is something that IreBuild strongly promotes.

Outreach programme

One of Irebuild’s proudest accomplishments has been working with Bristol Schools Camp in providing an outreach programme for vulnerable young people. (This is in addition to our own outreach upskilling programme.)

Not only have individuals from Irebuild run outdoor activities and acted as mentors to children in the camp, but we have also worked with the Exeter Chiefs rugby team and their HITZ Programme for the last three years.

About the camp

Situated in Exmouth at the beginning of the Jurassic coastline, the 7 acre camp acts as a base from where schools and other youth organisations (such as Scouts, Guides, and Duke of Edinburgh Award Groups) can carry out a residential programme of studies and outdoor activities in a safe controlled environment.

Activities include water sports, climbing, abseiling, bush craft, nature studies, circus workshops, archery, fishing, boat trips and mountain biking. There are many day trips on offer such as the Eden Project, Dartmoor Days, Paignton Zoo, River Dart Country Park or simply enjoy the miles of beautiful sandy beaches on our doorstep.
